1. Introduction
True Tone Translator ("we," "us," or "our") is a real-time conversational translation app for Android, developed by Siam Labs. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Content You Provide
To deliver translation services, the App processes the following content only when you actively use a feature:

2.2 Usage and Telemetry Data (Abuse Prevention)
To protect the App from automated abuse, misuse, and unauthorized bulk usage, we collect the following anonymous technical signals per request:
- Request timestamps and frequency (rolling 1-minute, 5-minute, 1-hour, 24-hour, and 7-day windows)
- Request type (voice / text / photo / text-to-speech)
- Anonymized device identifier (used only for rate limiting; not linked to personal identity)
- HTTP response codes and error types
- Computed abuse risk score (internal metric; not shared externally)
This telemetry is used exclusively for:
- Enforcing free-tier usage limits
- Detecting and blocking automated or abusive usage patterns
- Applying graduated cooldown periods to suspicious request patterns
This telemetry does not include the content of your translations, your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
2.3 Subscription and Purchase Data
If you subscribe to True Tone Translator Premium, purchase transactions are handled by Google Play Billing and RevenueCat (our subscription management platform). We receive:
- Your subscription status (active / expired / cancelled)
- Purchase timestamps and entitlement identifiers
- An anonymized RevenueCat App User ID (not linked to your Google account)
We do not receive or store your payment card number, bank account details, or billing address.
2.4 Device and Technical Information
We collect standard technical metadata to operate and improve the service:
- Device operating system and version (Android)
- App version number
- Network error information (for debugging failed requests)
- Session identifiers (randomly generated per session; not persistent across app restarts)

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We share data only as necessary to operate the App:

5. Data Retention and Deletion

6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher
- Our backend uses authentication tokens for all API endpoints
- Abuse prevention cooldowns protect against automated request floods
- We do not log the content of your translations in production
Despite our efforts, no system is 100% secure. If you discover a security issue, please report it to siamsoftlabs@gmail.com.
7. Children's Privacy
True Tone Translator is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of data we hold about you
- Deletion — request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Objection — object to certain processing activities
- Portability — receive your data in a structured format

9. Changes to This Policy
